Wrapping up in January 2019, we completed our 3rd SAIC project, renovating the security guard desk in the lobby of 116 S. Michigan. The desk area was in need of more seating and storage space, better lighting, and improved sight lines, while keeping the design aesthetic of existing SAIC finishes. The renovations included the complete interior demolition of the desk area to make room for the new fabricated millwork. We also oversaw a reroute of HVAC connections from a next door restaurant space. Victor worked overnight to accommodate staff and student schedules. This project was completed in partnership with Weese Langley Weese architect Rich Klein.
